New Features:

  • Text chat mode only (no audio and video windows)
  • The chat can not run in 2 browser windows at the same time
  • Web cams limit is now displayed in the tooltip attached to the [View Webcam] button
  • Posting links in the text chat can now be disabled/disallowed

Bug fixes:

  • The rooms list loosed focus when the users list or when the rooms list were being updated
  • usernames were displayed as undefined, for the history chat messages when logging into an room using AVChat running on Red5
  • usernames, room names, text messages (all input text) are trimmed
  • The text chat does not automatically scroll when the scroll bar is selected with the mouse
  • Admin Interface did not properly display remaining time sometimes

New Features:

  • All interface elements (texts, buttons, etc..) on all screens (login,main screen,etc...) will now align to center when the browser window in which the software is displayed is resized
  • The gender option in the login screen can now be disabled, everyone will get the male icon in the users list
  • All the live audio/video streams comming from the users can be recorded server side in .flv files. The resulting video/audio .flv files will eb found on the FMS server/account. Check out the settings.asc file for how to turn recording on
  • Some admin features can be disabled: ban, kick, view private messages
  • An xml users+rooms list AND a plain text file containing the number of live users can be generated on the web server. The server side FMS AVChat application calls a asp/php script on the webserver which creates the 2 files mentioned above. This script is also provided. Check out the settings.asc file for more info.
  • The [View Profile] button can be configured to open profile links based on the users id on the website. Example: http://mysite.com/viewprofile.php?userid=12 . Until now it could only be configured to open profilelinks based on the username like this one: http://mysite.com/viewprofile.php?username=naicu
  • Admins can see hidden admins
  • The users list can be sorted so that the users with webcams are displayed on top
  • When users log in they are now assigned random colors for the text chat
  • Webcam areas can also be resized by dragging the red corner (they can also be resized by using the mouse wheel, but few ppl know that :) )
  • Ip of users are listed in the text chat tanscripts

Bug fixes:

  • Lower right limited time counter is now properly repositioned when the browser window in which the software is displayed is resized.
  • Webcam zoom number was slightly incorrect
  • There was an issue with the main input text box was loosing focus when a new PM window showed up

New Features:

  • You can now specify , in pixels, in the settings file, the size of the font used in the text chat area.
  • If the AVChat installation is not integrated with the web site user management system, avchat will remember the last gender and username introduced.
  • Now the admin correctly sees all the private messages send between the users.

Bug fixes:

  • When a user jumped from a private room to another private room the user numbers got scrambled.
  • The 'limited time' rule does not apply anymore to admins designated as 'free' by the integration with the user management system.
  • The mouse scroll wheel has been disabled in the main text chat because it did not scroll the emote icons.
  • 'Start my web cam' phrase was not in the xml language files.

Modifed features:

  • you can now join any room any time (you don't have to be in the lobby to join a room) (See image)
  • current room is now highlighted in the Rooms List (See image)
  • the ID's of the texts in language file have been separated in 3 groups: _INT (interface texts), _BT (texts on buttons), _MSG (texts in the text chat area or error texts)
  • you must now click the "View Camera" button to see another person's camera. This enables one user to send a private message another user while viewing other people's web cameras. (See image)

Bugs solved from previous issue

  • in some cases a negative users number was shown for some rooms in the Rooms List (fixed)
  • when entering another room, people that were watching your web camera while you were in the previous room, will continue to see your web camera (fixed)
